The Portuguese superstar returned to the training ground this week, undertaking a series of light physical exercises designed to restore his fitness levels before he rejoins the squad.
Ferguson is satisfied with the 23-year-old's progress thus far, and hopes the player's relative youth will help speed up his recovery.
“Cristiano has been jogging all week. It is only jogging but I am quite pleased about that," the United boss told The Sun. www.imanutd.com7 ]+ K3 `6 @, t4 N5 p
“The plan was to give him one month of rehab work. He is doing the aerobic work in the gym. He is one week into that. There is good progress.

However, there have been suggestions in the press that Ronaldo's rehabilitation is not going quite as planned.
United had hoped the ex-Sporting Lisbon winger would be fit and firing by the start of October, but The Sun claims that he will remain on the sidelines until November.
