The 20-year-old Northern Ireland international impressed for The Red Devils against Villarreal and Chelsea last week, but is likely to slip back onto the bench as Nemanja Vidic has completed a suspension in time for the weekend clash with Bolton.
Despite the continued frustration of a lack of starts, Ferguson has assured Evans he is firmly in his plans – something he says is backed up by United’s rejection of a succession of bids for his services over the summer.

Evans – who has spent two loan spells at Sunderland, one of the clubs who tried to buy him – knows that he will have to bide his time.
"I do not know how much I am going to play," he said. "I might have to wait on injuries or play in cup games.
"With Gerard Pique moving on you think there is an opening but then Gary Neville is coming back from injury.
