Sir Alex Ferguson believes Wayne Rooney will be ready for Sunday's Premiership clash with Chelsea following his return from injury in tonight's Champions League victory over Sporting Lisbon.
Rooney lasted 70 minutes for United in his first appearance since recovering from the broken foot that he sustained against Reading in the opening match of the season.; a* j, v5 J5 c' x0 F
"It was difficult to know how long to keep him on but the goal made it easy," said Ferguson.
