South Korean electronics giants LG are being linked with a bumper sponsorship deal with Manchester United.
Online betting company Mansion were regarded as favourites for a shirt sponsorship deal, but the Sunday Mirror says United are close to tying up a deal with LG.
LG Electronics originally appeared on the football scene as Leicester City's sponsors when the Midlands club was in the Premiership. Since then they have expanded into other sports such as cricket. But in recent weeks LG officials have been assessing the best football club to engage with.
United may not be the dominant force in England any more but they still have a massive global following - especially in the Far East.
